Delete your Lakeday account

How to delete your Lakeday account and its data from the web dashboard, the iOS app, or the Android app — what is removed, and what we keep.

Applies to: the Lakeday web dashboard, iOS app, and Android appProvided by: The Hyytinen Group LLC

Lakeday is a product of The Hyytinen Group LLC. You can delete your Lakeday account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. This page lists the steps, what is deleted, and what we keep and for how long. For everything else we collect, see the Privacy Policy.

1

Delete your account in the app

Deletion is in Settings, in the web dashboard, iOS app, or Android app. Which option you get depends on your role in the household.

If you're the household's primary member (deletes the whole household)

  1. Sign in to Lakeday and open Settings.
  2. Open the Account & Location tab and find the Delete Account section.
  3. Select Delete Account, then confirm with Schedule deletion.
  4. Every household member is emailed. The household keeps full access for a 7-day grace period. To change your mind, select Keep my account in the same section, or use the link in the email.
  5. When the 7 days are up, the household and its data are permanently deleted.

If you're another household member (deletes only your own account)

  1. Sign in to Lakeday and open Settings.
  2. Open the Account & Location tab and find the Delete Account section.
  3. Select Delete Account, then confirm with Delete my account.

This takes effect immediately. Your account and your private events and tasks are deleted. Anything you added to the shared household calendar stays with the household, and everyone else keeps their access.

Only the household's primary member can delete the whole household.

What is deleted

When a household is deleted, we delete:

  • Every member's Lakeday account, including name and email address. If a member signed in with Apple, we also revoke that Sign in with Apple authorization with Apple.
  • Calendar events, tasks, meals and recipes (including saved and draft recipe images), the grocery list, and settings.
  • Forwarded and imported inbox items.
  • Connected Google Calendar and Google Photos access tokens.

Photos you choose from Google Photos or your device are cached only on that device and are never uploaded to Lakeday. They stay on the device until you remove them (Settings → Display → Photo library) or uninstall the app.

Request/error logs
Held in Google Cloud Logging under its default retention (currently 30 days).
Diagnostic events
About 30 days, pruned automatically.
Administrative audit records
Up to 2 years, as a security and accountability record, then deleted.
